Most of our clients have had the same questions, so we’ve collected the most popular and answered them here.
A watt is a RATE of energy usage or production. 1 Watt = 1 Joules per seconds. (Joules = Energy)
Solar panels provide watts. The iSun Energy Hub provides 1 500 watts which is 1 500 joules per seconds.
A Watt-hour is a QUANTITY of energy. Batteries store Watt-hours.
A tax credit is the amount of money deducted from your taxes owed to the government. The value of your tax credit depends on the nature of the credit. The federal investment tax credit for Solar systems is 26%.
The total cost of your iSun solar system can be claimed including taxes, shipping and total installation costs (including cost of installers, electrician, permits, wiring, conduit, additional equipment and anchoring). Your exact expense items may vary. We recommend consulting a tax professional for details.
A kilowatt-hour is a unit of energy equivalent to 1 kilowatt of power CREATED for one hour of time. That means that for the 2 car sized iSun Palm, it can produce 6800 watts or 6.8 kWh of clean power for one hour of full sunshine. To give a perspective on energy usage, according to the U.S Energy Information Administration, an average household electricity usage is 958 kWh per month. Palm’s energy production for the 4 carports is 11.4 kW and the 6 carports is 18.3 kW per hour of full sunlight.
You cannot access the energy directly; iSun are designed as a grid-tied solar power system. The energy produced by your iSun solar panels is fed back into the electricity grid, where the power load of your business or school consumes it.

2 Car
- 2 days for structural, ½ day for electrical. Foundations should take less than 1 day to dig and pour. Conduits depend on the length of the electrical panel you are connecting to. Costs for structural and electrical are estimated around US$15,000 (not including conduits). This assumes three laborers, with one scissor lift and one boom crane.
4 Car

Costs for structural and electrical are estimated around US$20,000 (not including conduits). This assumes three laborers, with one scissor lift and one boom crane.
6 Car
